Guided kayaking and snorkelling tour amongst the coves and caves of La Azohía, Murcia

Lose yourself for around three hours as you kayak along the unspoilt coast of Cartagena. From La Azohía, you’ll skirt the coastline until you reach almost inaccessible spots such as Cala Cerrada, combining the route with stops to go snorkelling and explore the area’s mysterious sea caves.

Grab your paddle, adjust your mask and get ready for adventure.

What we will do

The guide will meet us on time at the meeting point in La Azohía. We’ll start with a brief safety briefing and some technical training on kayaking, paddling manoeuvres and how to get back into the kayak if we fall (or jump) into the water, using some introductory games.

The trip will take us along the cliffs, with the route adapted to suit the group’s pace and the weather conditions. We’ll venture into some of the coastal caves along the route to admire their formations from the inside, and we’ll paddle along the coastline whilst the guide explains the local environment, its flora and fauna.

We’ll make a strategic stop at Cala Cerrada beach, a hard-to-reach spot hidden amongst the cliffs. There, we’ll be able to put on our snorkelling masks and explore the rich underwater life.

The activity will last approximately 2 to 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for all ages.

Children aged 5 and over can take part, depending on their abilities. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

You must be able to swim.

It is not suitable for people with a disability that prevents them from kayaking.

Other information

The tour is available all year round and the departure is confirmed once a minimum group of 4 participants has been reached.

Please note that the meeting point is at the start of the activity and that there are no changing rooms, showers or lockers available.

You will need to contact the guide to find out the exact location of the meeting point; you will receive the contact details in your booking confirmation email.

Self-bailing double kayaks are used for this activity.

Pets are not permitted on this activity.

There is free parking near the meeting point, but it is not possible to reach the area by public transport.
