Leave the stress of everyday life behind and swap it for the sound of your paddle cutting through the crystal-clear waters of this volcanic paradise.
Enjoy a spectacular 3-hour shared kayaking excursion through the Cabo de Gata Natural Park in Almería. You’ll paddle at your own pace, discovering unique volcanic landscapes, towering cliffs and secluded coves that are completely inaccessible on foot. What’s more, you’ll anchor in unspoilt surroundings for a fun 30-minute snorkelling stop , with all equipment provided.
What we will do
We’ll meet about 15 minutes before the scheduled time at the meeting point in Níjar, Almería. There , we’ll be welcomed and kitted out with everything we need. Depending on the weather forecast, we’ll have a choice of three spectacular routes: the Sirenas reef from La Fabriquilla, Las Negras from Cala del Cuervo, or Los Escullos from Cala del Embarcadero.
We’ll listen to a brief introductory talk from the team to learn the basic paddling techniques and safety rules. And that’s where the adventure begins! We’ll jump into the water to paddle through the sheltered waters of the Natural Park, marvelling at the stunning cliffs and unspoilt coves. About halfway through the trip, we’ll stop for around 30 minutes to swim and go snorkelling with all the equipment provided by the guides, exploring the area’s rich seabed whilst the team takes photos and videos.
We’ll set off on the return journey, paddling leisurely and taking in the coastal scenery. After around 3 hours of pure relaxation, we’ll round off the experience by enjoying a soft drink or a nice cold beer to toast the trip before saying our goodbyes.
Who it is aimed at
The route is suitable for beginners and families. The guides will adjust the pace accordingly.
The minimum age to take part is 3 years. Children up to the age of 11 must travel in the same kayak, sharing space with an adult.
The maximum weight limit is 120 kg per person.
It is not strictly necessary to be able to swim, although it is highly recommended for the snorkelling stop, whilst always wearing the compulsory life jacket.
This experience is suitable for pregnant women provided they are in good general health.
If you have reduced mobility, you may take part in the activity provided you are accompanied by another member of your group; please contact us in advance to arrange the boarding details.

The activity is available from April to October, Monday to Sunday.
A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 24 participants are required .
The general meeting point is Piedra Galera Beach in Níjar, but the guides will provide you with the exact departure location after checking the weather forecast.
Free parking is available at the entrances to the coves. Please bear in mind that access by public transport can be difficult, so travelling by public transport is not recommended.
The organisers have single, double, triple and four-seater boats available .
Pets are allowed on the route.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is last minute. You get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
