Enjoy a 2-hour descent down the 2nd Vado, a spectacular stretch where the vegetation and easy rapids create the perfect setting for family leisure. In this adventure in Ciudad Rodrigo, you'll combine the thrill of navigation with stops to swim in quiet spots and even optional jumps from the trees. It's a safe and vibrant experience, ideal for adults and children who want to explore the fun side of Salamanca without any previous experience.
What we will do
We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Ciudad Rodrigo, Salamanca. There we will be greeted with a warm welcome to start preparing our expedition. Once we are all ready, the organisers will transfer us by van for about 10 minutes upriver to the starting point of the descent, allowing us to enjoy the scenery while we get into the nature.
Once on the river bank, we will start to equip ourselves with all the necessary equipment: kayaks, paddles and life jackets. Before getting the paddles wet, our expert guide will give us an introductory lesson so that we can learn how to handle the boat with ease. Once the technique is clear, it's time to jump into the current!
We will navigate for about 2 hours along the Águeda riverbed, facing simple rapids that will make us smile. It won't just be paddling; the river will give us strategic stops in quiet places away from the hustle and bustle to swim, play with the canoes and, for the bravest, feel the adrenaline of a fun and safe jump from a tree directly into the water.
At the end of the descent, we will return to the base, where we can change and relax. To end the adventure with the best taste in our mouths, we will enjoy a delicious aperitif consisting of a tortilla skewer and a cold drink, the perfect moment to share the anecdotes of the day. We will return home with renewed energy and the satisfaction of having lived an unforgettable day.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for beginners and families looking for an active day out.
The minimum age is 4 years old. Children must always be accompanied by an adult.
It is not necessary to know how to swim, as the use of a life jacket is compulsory.
This experience is not suitable for wheelchair users.
If you have reduced mobility, it is necessary to contact the organisers in advance to assess access and adapt the logistics.

The activity is available from May to September, with daily departures.
It is a group activity with a capacity of up to 50 people, using mainly double kayaks for greater stability.
The outing is done with at least 2 participants.
Free parking is available at the meeting point. It is not advisable to come by public transport.
The organisers provide watertight containers for your belongings, although it is advisable to bring the minimum necessary for the water.
In case of food intolerance, please inform the organisers in advance. You will receive their contact details in the booking confirmation email.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
