Feel the power of a landscape shaped by fire.
Walk 3. 5 km with an expert guide to discover the geology of the Cerro de Agrás volcano in Confrentes, and its landscape of lava and pine forests. After reaching the summit, enjoy a red wine tasting paired with a traditional olive oil cake.
A geological adventure on the only volcano in the Valencia Region that can be visited.
What we will do
The guide will meet us 10 minutes before the booking time at the meeting point in Confrentes. After a round of introductions and a brief introduction to the experience, we will start walking from the vicinity of the Iron Bridge of Cofrentes.
We will walk along mountain trails that will take us directly to the deepest heartbeat of the area: the Cerro de Agrás Volcano. Accompanied by our guide, we will walk through pine forests and volcanic hills while we make stops to interpret the environment. We will discover how this unique relief was formed, what traces the fire left in the landscape and how the geology of this volcano, the only one in the Valencian Community that can be visited, works.
After reaching the summit and enjoying the views, it will be time to reward the effort with a tasting in the open air. We will toast with a glass of carefully selected red wine (Monastrell or Bobal) , and enjoy a savoury snack with a typical local cake that brings back the flavour of the local tradition.
Finally, we will return to the starting point after having shared a natural experience of contact with the territory. The total duration of the experience is approximately 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The route is suitable for all ages and can be done from 6 years old.
Minors must be accompanied. Only adults may participate in the wine tasting.
The route is not wheelchair accessible.

Other information
The guided tour is available every weekend, bank holidays, July and August. Departure is confirmed when a minimum group of 4 participants is reached .
The route includes a wine tasting of Monastrell or Bobal grapes (adults only) accompanied by a savoury snack of local olive oil cake. If you have any allergies, intolerances or special dietary requirements, please inform the guide in advance. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
The activity is pet-friendly, so your dog can also participate.
Free parking space is available near the meeting point. It is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
