Full description

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city with a paddle and discover the most peaceful and refreshing spot in the Sierra Norte.

Enjoy a revitalising 1½-hour group canoe trip, gliding along the calm waters of the Riosequillo Reservoir, right in the heart of the Lozoya Valley. Guided by an expert instructor, you’ll venture into a unique natural landscape far from the crowds, where you can relax whilst observing the local wildlife from the water. This activity is tailor-made for families and beginners, and also includes a spectacular stop to cool off with a refreshing dip in the reservoir.

What we will do

We’ll meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Gargantilla del Lozoya. Once there, we’ll be welcomed and will walk a short distance to the jetty, already feeling completely disconnected from the Lozoya Valley.

We’ll be given all the necessary equipment by our guides (who are also qualified lifeguards) . We’ll put on the compulsory lifejackets and listen to a brief introductory briefing covering key safety recommendations and basic paddling instructions to make the most of the experience. And we’re ready to hit the water! We’ll set off to explore the calm waters of the reservoir on a shared route lasting approximately one and a half hours, surrounded by spectacular vegetation and enjoying the views of the surrounding meadows, where we’ll easily spot cows, calves, horses and numerous birds. During the trip, we’ll take the opportunity to stop for a swim and a refreshing dip.

We’ll set off back to the jetty, paddling leisurely at our own pace, and say goodbye to the instructors, feeling fully re-energised for the rest of the day.
