Full description
Get ready for a good laugh, because in this group lesson, learning to surf is just as much fun as watching the rest of the group take the occasional tumble into the water.
Why not give this group surf lesson a go on the coast at Celoriu, in Llanes? You’ll discover how to keep your balance and glide over the waves in a friendly, pressure-free atmosphere full of positive energy. A 2-hour session where the Cantabrian Sea will provide the challenge and the group will provide the fun.
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before the start time at the meeting point on Palombina Beach in Celoriu, Llanes (the meeting point in Celoriu may vary depending on sea conditions) . There, our instructor will welcome us, we’ll introduce ourselves to the rest of the group, and we’ll be given our equipment: the wetsuit, the life jacket and the surfboard.
Before heading into the water, we’ll spend the first 30 minutes warming up and having a theory session on the sand. We’ll learn the basic technique, practise keeping our balance and go through the movements needed to stand up on the board.
With the basics under our belts, we’ll head out onto the waves of the Cantabrian Sea. We’ll split into small groups of 7 or 8 students per instructor to ensure personalised attention. In the water, we’ll share a laugh at our first falls, spur each other on as we watch others give it a go, and celebrate as a team when someone manages to ride a wave. The relaxed and sociable atmosphere will make the learning experience an unforgettable memory.
After a total of two hours of pure energy, we’ll bring the lesson to a close. We’ll be able to use the showers and changing rooms next to the beach to wash off the salt, whilst we chat about the best moments of the session before saying goodbye.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for all levels, from beginners who have never played a board before to those looking to improve their technique.
The minimum age for taking part is 6 years.
Due to the nature of the activity, it is not recommended for pregnant women or people with reduced mobility.
Pets are not permitted.

The experience is available every day of the year.
IMPORTANT: The times of the activity depend entirely on the tides and weather conditions. Furthermore, the meeting point may vary depending on sea conditions. It is essential to contact the organisers at least 24 hours in advance to confirm the exact time and location in Celoriu.
Classes are held in groups with a minimum of 1 person and a maximum of 14 participants (there will always be 1 instructor for every 7 or 8 pupils) .
Parking is available in the area (paid or free, depending on the time of year) . It is recommended that you arrive well in advance to park without any hassle. During the summer, some bus services operate, but they run very infrequently for the rest of the year.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
