Did you know that in Gran Canaria winter is just a legend? Take advantage of the eternal sunshine to learn how to surf.
Jump into the water at the emblematic Maspalomas Lighthouse Beach and break the routine with a new adventure! Learn the basics of surfing with expert instructors in 2-hour sessions, a perfect plan even if you've never been on a board before. Choose between a 1 or 3 day lesson to perfect your technique and get ready to leave the sea with a smile from ear to ear.
What we will do
We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point at the Paseo del Faro de Maspalomas. There we will be met by the team of instructors, we will introduce ourselves and we will receive all the necessary equipment: the wetsuit and the perfect board for our size. With everything ready, we will walk together towards the sand of the Playa del Faro, already feeling the warmth of the Canarian sun and the sea breeze that warns us that the adventure is about to begin.
Once on the shore, we will dedicate the first 15 minutes to a theoretical and practical lesson on the sand. We will learn how to read the sea conditions, the basic safety rules and, most importantly, we will practice the movements for the pop-up. We will repeat the gesture of standing up again and again until our muscles memorise it, warming up for the moment of truth.
And straight into the water! We will take advantage of the low tide, where we always hit the bottom, to practise with complete confidence. Between strokes, we'll look for the right moment and, almost without thinking, we'll be standing on a wave. The victory may only last a few seconds before we end up in the water with a splash, but the laughs with the rest of the group are more than guaranteed. The instructors will be by our side at all times, correcting our posture and always cheering us on.
After 2 hours of pure adrenaline and fun, we will get out of the sea to recover our strength with some fresh fruit and water while we discuss the best moves of the day. At the end, it will be an unforgettable day that will leave us with the saltpetre on our skin and the satisfaction of having overcome the challenge.
The activity has a total duration of 2 hours per day, and we can choose between the 1 day option or the 3 day course when booking.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 8.
Minors can participate accompanied by an adult or by presenting a signed authorisation.
No previous experience or swimming experience is required, but it is necessary to be comfortable in the water.
The experience is suitable for pregnant women, provided they have their doctor's approval.
The activity is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or heart conditions.

The activity can be done every day of the year.
The timetable is subject to change depending on the tide and will be confirmed the day before.
You can choose between the 1 day lesson (2 hours) or the 3 day course (2 hours each day) by selecting the desired option when booking.
The organisers have a changing room and a place to leave items, but there are no showers.
Parking is available in the surrounding area, both free and for a fee.
It is easy to reach by public transport; there is a bus stop 5 minutes walk from the meeting point.
Accompanying persons can stay on the sand and enjoy the beach.
Pets are not allowed during the experience.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
