Breathing underwater can be much easier than you think.
Experience your first contact with scuba diving in Oropesa del Mar, Castellón. You will take part in theoretical training and a practical session in a swimming pool before sailing to La Renegá to take the big leap: diving in the open sea.
Test yourself and discover a new world underwater.
What we will do
We will arrive at the dive centre located in the port of Oropesa del Mar about 15 minutes beforehand. There we will be met by the instructor to start the theoretical training and to get to know the equipment.
They will explain how each piece of equipment works, such as the mask and regulators. We will also be given an introduction to scuba diving and we will see some tips on compensation techniques to dive safely.
Once equipped, we'll go to the pool for a little practice and to familiarise ourselves with the sensations before taking the big dive. This will be our first opportunity to put into practice what we have learnt and the occasion for the instructor to assess our preparation.
If everything goes as planned, we will get into the boat and sail about 2 miles off the coast in the Renegá area. And then comes the moment of truth: our first minutes of open water diving. It will take about 20 minutes during which we will reach a depth of between 4 and 5 metres, experiencing weightlessness and silence underwater.
After the dive, we will return to the port to share our impressions. The total duration of the experience is approximately 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
No experience is necessary and participation is open to children from the age of 8.
Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian to sign the documentation.
It is not compulsory to swim, but it is necessary to feel comfortable in the water.
All participants will have to fill in a medical certificate. It will not be possible to dive with eardrum problems, cardiac pathologies, recent surgeries, etc. .. . Or under the effect of some types of medication.
The experience is not accessible for people with motor disabilities.
Other information
The activity is available from Easter to October.
In the diving centre there are changing rooms with lockers and showers.
Important : the practice dives in the pool will be decisive for the instructor to assess whether the participants are ready to go out to sea.
The dive is done from the Teddy, a comfortable fibreglass boat with a length of 8 metres and capacity for up to 8 participants (+ instructor and skipper) .
If you have your own equipment, you can use it.
It is possible to hire a photo book (extra cost) . For more information about this service, you will receive the contact details of the dive centre in the booking confirmation email.
Non-participating guests can wait on the terrace outside the dive centre or walk around the harbour. They can take care of possible pets (on a leash) .
Paid parking is available in the port of Oropesa and the dive centre gives out 3 hour discount tickets. Outside the harbour there is free public parking. It is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
