Swapping urgent emails for direct contact with sheep and goats begging to be stroked is, officially, the ultimate cure for the daily grind.
During this two-hour experience in Arenys de Munt, Barcelona, you’ll explore a traditional farm at the foot of Montnegre, feed the animals, learn the secrets of milking, enjoy a guided tasting of four cheeses and take home a piece of artisan goat’s cheese.
What we will do
We’ll meet at the designated meeting point at the farm in Arenys de Munt, at the foot of Montnegre and just 45 minutes from Barcelona. There, we’ll be welcomed by the farm team, who’ll be on hand to guide us throughout the morning and share their passion for farming with us.
We’ll start with a one-hour tour of the farm to visit the animals. We’ll walk through the pens, go up to say hello, stroke them and feed them whilst our guide tells us interesting facts about their care and daily welfare. Next, we’ll try our hand at milking to discover the technique that has been passed down through the generations, before moving on to the cheese dairy to learn about the entire production and maturing process.
Then comes the most eagerly awaited part of the day: the tasting session. We’ll sit down to savour a selection of four artisan goat’s and sheep’s cheeses, distinguishing their textures, aromas and intensities whilst sharing our impressions. As the perfect finishing touch to two hours of rural immersion, each participant will receive a 450-gram piece of artisan goat’s cheese to extend the experience at home before we say our goodbyes.

People with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs can take part in the tour as normal, as the venue is accessible.
Pets are not permitted to prevent the farm animals from becoming frightened or having their routine disrupted.

The experience is available all year round, taking place on Saturdays from 11. 00 to 13. 00.
It takes place in a shared group, with a minimum of 1 person required to book and a maximum capacity of 25 participants.
There is free on-site car park where you can park your car conveniently.
There is no direct public transport to the venue; you will need to travel by private car or taxi.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
