Get ready for a day of family fun.
Snowshoe through the Sierra Nevada mountains, learn how to build an igloo like a real explorer and finish the day tobogganing. All surrounded by the most breathtaking winter scenery in Granada.
4 hours of laughter, discovery and adventure to create family memories that will last far beyond the winter.
What we will do
The meeting point in Monachil, Granada, is 30 minutes before the booking time. There we will be met by the guide, who will give us the snowshoes and poles and explain how the activity will be carried out before starting the route.
We will start the day with a walk in the snow, learning how to move with the snowshoes while we enjoy the winter landscape. The route will be a maximum of 1 kilometre, with a gentle slope, ideal for families with children. During this experience, everyone will be able to enjoy the Sierra Nevada National Park in winter.
After an hour's walk we will arrive at an open area perfect for our next mission: to build an authentic igloo. With the help of the guide we will learn the basic techniques and, working as a team, we will shape our own snow shelter. An educational, fun and very different activity.
After the workshop, we will set off on our way back. After walking for another hour, we will put the finishing touch by sledding down the slope. A rounded experience to enjoy the snow, the mountain and the illusion with the family.
The activity will last about 4 hours in total: approximately 2 hours of walking, 1 hour of igloo building and extra time to play with the sledges.
Who it is aimed at
No experience is necessary and participation is open to children aged 4 and over.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
It is not recommended for pregnant women and people who have recently suffered injuries.
Not accessible for people with motor disabilities.
Other information
The activity is available approximately from December to April and is confirmed when a minimum group of 8 participants is reached. Please note that this is a weather-dependent experience and may be subject to variations. The exact area will be decided by the guide depending on the snow conditions.
Dogs can be taken on a lead, but it will be necessary to inform the guide beforehand. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Those accompanying people who do not take part can wait at the Navacerrada ski resort, which has different services.
Free parking is available at the meeting point. During the ski season it can be difficult to find parking spaces, so it is advisable to arrive well in advance.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
