Get ready for an experience where falcons don't just fly. .. they land on your hand.
Discover the world of falconry in a unique family day : you will learn how to handle eagles, hawks and owls while they land on your glove as if they have always known you. With the help of expert falconers and biologists you will see how they communicate, how they fly and how they respond to your call just a few centimetres away from you.
What we will do
We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Villalbilla, Madrid, where the team of falconers, biologists and naturalists will welcome us and explain how the day will develop. We will start with a brief introduction to falconry: what it is for, how to work with the birds and what are the basic safety and handling rules.
Then we will go straight into action. We will meet the real stars of the day: the Harris Vargas, Ron and Malibu eagles, the African hawk Helmo, the Suri owl and other birds of prey (8 to 10 birds) that will accompany us during the morning. We will see how they train, how they respond in flight and how they interact with us. We will be able to touch them, feed them and take photos and videos while they perch in the safety gloves we will use.
Throughout the activity we will discover curiosities about their behaviour, flight techniques, training methods and the importance of their conservation. Always accompanied by experts who will answer any questions you may have.
The experience takes place in the middle of nature, in an area of countryside perfect for enjoying the surroundings and observing the flight of these birds in all their splendour.
In total we will live an exciting and participative morning, with an approximate duration of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is ideal for families who want to learn about the world of falconry.
Suitable for beginners and for children from 6 years old (with signed authorisation or accompanied) .
Not recommended for people with reduced mobility or wheelchairs due to the uneven terrain.

It takes place every Saturday morning, all year round.
Free parking is available.
Access by public transport is possible, although very limited.
Groups are small: minimum 6 people (2 families) and maximum 18.
The activity can be done exclusively for a family of up to 5 people for a supplement of 150 €. To book this activity, please contact the organisers using the details you will receive in the booking confirmation email.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
