An interactive experience with birds of prey in Robledo de Chavela, Madrid

Have you ever felt the air in your face caused by the flapping of an eagle landing on your own glove?

In this falconry experience of approximately 1 hour and a half in Robledo de Chavela, we will delve into the fascinating world of birds of prey to discover their most amazing behaviours and secrets. Hand in hand with expert falconers, we will experience the thrill of interactive flights with such majestic species as the eagle owl or the Harris's eagle, feeling their strength and precision in a privileged natural environment. A unique opportunity to learn, interact and capture unforgettable photographs while connecting with these incredible predators.

What we will do

We will meet punctually in the natural environment of Robledo de Chavela, in Madrid, where we will be welcomed by the professional falconers in charge of the activity. We will start with a short introduction of about 10 minutes in which we will see what kind of animals these predators are and how we should behave in front of them, understanding that they are not domestic animals.

After this talk, we will move on to the action with flying exercises. We will not go hunting, but we will enjoy watching how they fly, how they accelerate and how they brake in the air with amazing precision. We will equip ourselves with the falconry glove and, under the supervision of the experts, we will extend our arm so that birds such as Sonora (the Harris's eagle) , Pawnee (the red-tailed eagle) or Geneva (the majestic eagle owl) come from a distance and land directly above us.

During the practical part, we will learn how to move correctly so that the bird responds to our signals. Once the flights are over, we will enjoy an extra 20-30 minutes of familiarisation time. This will be the perfect time to take close-up photos, solve all our doubts with the experts and share our impressions about the incredible connection that is created with these animals.

We will finish the experience after 90 minutes of total immersion, with a renewed vision about the importance of the conservation of these birds of prey.

Who it is aimed at

This experience is suitable for beginners and families who wish to have a first contact with the world of birds of prey.

Ideal from 5 years of age. Babies can attend the activity at no extra cost.

Minors must always be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The activity is suitable for people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users (please contact the organisers in advance to coordinate the necessary logistics) .

Groups are shared with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 participants.
