Winter dresses the Tena Valley in white and turns it into an authentic natural spectacle.
This snowshoeing route is the best way to discover it. The route, always guided and adapted to the group, can take you from simple walks with views of the Midi d'Ossau to longer routes to hidden corners of the Pyrenees. Between 2 and 8 kilometres of pure winter beauty.
Three hours to enjoy the snow, the mountains and the calm of the Tena Valley. Come and create magical memories.
What we will do
The meeting point with the guide will be the point agreed with the guide in the Tena Valley. From there, we will organise to travel by car to the chosen area for the route, which will depend on the weather conditions.
Once the snowshoes are on, we will start walking through the magical winter landscapes of the Tena Valley on a route adapted to the group. The route can be a quiet walk with spectacular views of the Midi d'Ossau or a more demanding excursion tosome of the most beautiful corners of the Pyrenees, depending on the characteristics of the group and the snow.
During the hike, between 2 and 8 km long and with gentle slopes, we will enjoy the snowy landscapes and the magical atmosphere of the winter mountain, always without compromising steps.
The activity has a total duration of 3 hours, of which about 2 hours or 2 and a half hours will be spent on the snowshoeing route.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for children aged 4 and over and no experience is necessary.
Minors need an authorisation signed by a legal guardian to participate.
The activityis not recommended for pregnant women and people with mobility problems.
It will be necessary to inform the guide in advance about the characteristics of the group. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Other information
The activity is available from December to March and is confirmed when a minimum group of 4 participants is reached.
Important: snow tyres or chains are required in the car.
Sunglasses or snow goggles with a minimum protection level of 3 are recommended .
It is not possible to participate with dogs.
During the activity the guide will take photos that will be shared with you in a Google Drive folder.
Free public parking is available at the meeting point and in the vicinity of the canyon. It is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

- Waterproof hiking boots, gaiters and synthetic socks
- Snow gloves and hat

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
