Full description
There are places that become magical in winter. The Pyrenees is one of them.
Walk on snowshoes through the white forests and valleys of the Catalan Pyrenees. While you enjoy the walk you will learn to read the mountain from the hand of an expert guide: its snow, its fauna, its silence. Each step will bring you a little closer to the essence of the Pyrenees.
An experience to breathe fresh air, discover breathtaking landscapes and let yourself be surprised by the wildest nature of winter.
What we will do
The meeting point is in the Vallter area (depending on the snow conditions) . The mountain guide will be waiting for us punctually, explaining how the activity will be carried out, helping us to put on our snowshoes correctly and giving us the poles before starting the route.
We will start the walk at a leisurely pace and adapted to the group, crossing forests, ridges and snow-covered valleys. During the walk, the guide will share information about the geology, fauna and flora of the environment, so that the experience is also a learning experience about the area and the mountains in winter.
We will reach altitudes of between 2, 000 and 2, 500 metres, experiencing the wildest beauty of the Catalan Pyrenees up close. After about an hour's walk, we will stop to rest, enjoy the scenery and recharge our batteries (it is advisable to take some food with us! ). Afterwards, we will return to the starting point.
The total duration of the activity will be between 4 and 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
No experience is necessary and children from the age of 6 can participate.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
It is not recommended for pregnant women and people who have recently suffered injuries.
Not accessible for people with motor disabilities.
Other information
The activity is available from December to March. Please note that this is a weather-dependent experience and may be subject to variations.
Important: the exact meeting point will be decided by the guide depending on the snow conditions.
You can also participate with your dog.
There is no designated area for people not participating in the route to wait for their companions.
If you do not have waterproof hiking boots suitable for the activity, please contact the guide so that he can bring you a pair of your size. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Free parking is available near the meeting point. It is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
