When the sun goes down, the real magic begins.
Embark on a night crossing from Vigo to the Cíes Islands and discover one of the clearest skies in Europe with a Starlight guide.
Enjoy the starry sky over the Atlantic Ocean. Ready to touch the stars?
What we will do
The appointment will be half an hour before sunset at the meeting point in the port of Vigo. The skipper and the Starlight guide will welcome us and, after boarding, will explain the basic safety rules and how to behave on board during the crossing.
We will sail in a 200 hp semi-rigid boat with seats towards the Cíes Islands, while we enjoy the sunset over the Atlantic. Already during the crossing, the guide will start telling us curiosities about the night sky, the visible stars and the uniqueness of the Atlantic Islands National Park as a Starlight destination.
If conditions permit, we will disembark on the main island of the archipelago and walk to the Cadeira da Raíña, a perfect area for astronomical observation. If it is not possible to disembark, we will anchor in a sheltered spot where we can enjoy the magic of the stars.
In any case, under one of the purest skies in Europe, we will experience a guided observation session, with explanations about constellations, planets and celestial phenomena.
The duration will vary according to the group, weather and sky conditions. After a maximum of 4 or 5 hours, we will be back at the port.

The excursion is suitable for all ages.
Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

It is possible to do the shared excursion on selected dates. Check the calendar for upcoming events.
The experience is confirmed when a minimum group of 6 participants is reached .
As this is a shared excursion, it is not possible to participate with pets.
Paid parking is available in the vicinity of the harbour. It is also possible to reach the area by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
