Discover the quiet life of the Pasiegos Valleys in a close encounter with alpacas that you will live at their pace.
Explore the farm, learn how the animal fibre is worked and share a unique afternoon among nature, sustainability and happy animals. And if you wish, enjoy a snack with local products that tastes exactly what it is: countryside, tradition and love.
What we will do
You will meet at the agreed time at the farm in Villacarriedo, Cantabria, where you will be welcomed and told what the farm does and how the sustainable animal fibre workshop works. You will discover how fibres such as wool are obtained and how it is transformed.
Then you will visit the meadow where the 15 alpacas live, including Gorca (the most friendly), Flavia, Lara and Marino. Interaction will always be voluntary on the part of the animals: if they come close, you will be able to touch them; if they want to, they will eat from your hand; or you will simply observe them in their natural environment, learning about their daily life, their routines, their personality and their way of communicating.
During the visit you will also meet the rest of the farm family: cows, goats, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats and pigeons . You will even be able to help with small day-to-day tasks, such as cleaning water troughs or helping to look after the place.
If you have booked the option with a snack, at the end you will enjoy a quiet moment in the workshop or outdoors (depending on the weather) . You will taste local products such as cheese, sobaos, honey, cider, bread and jams, made in the Pasiego Valleys.
The activity lasts approximately 40 to 60 minutes, or up to 90 minutes if you include a snack.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Not recommended for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility due to the terrain: meadows, mud and unleveled areas.

It is carried out with a minimum of 2 participants.
Free parking is available on the estate. Public transport leaves about 15 minutes walk away.
Pets are not allowed.
Interaction with the alpacas and other animals is always voluntary. If they approach, you will be able to touch them, feed them by hand or simply observe them while they enjoy their natural environment.

- Hiking shoes or trainers (can get dirty)

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
