Take on the vertical challenge and get ready to conquer El Cigarrón.
Explore the heart of the Carrascoy Valley Regional Park in Murcia with a dry canyoneering experience. The perfect setting to learn abseiling techniques on walls up to 15 metres high and feel the adrenaline rush as you make your way through gorges sculpted by nature.
What we will do
The guide will meet us on time at the meeting point near El Palmar, Murcia. After breaking the ice with a round of introductions, we’ll hear an explanation of the adventure that awaits us and get kitted out with all the necessary equipment.
We’ll start with a hike of around 45 minutes through the natural surroundings of the Valle de Carrascoy Regional Park until we reach the head of the ravine. Before venturing into the gorge, we’ll attend a technical briefing on the use of safety equipment and the rules for abseiling.
And then we’ll be ready to tackle our first abseil! Following the guide’s instructions, we’ll descend the gorge, tackling different walls one by one until we’ve mastered the technique and can abseil down a height of up to 15 metres.
After completing the route, we’ll set off on a 30-minute walk back to the starting point. The experience will last approximately 4 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
No experience is required, and children aged 11 and over can take part .
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant women or people with disabilities.

The tour is available all year round and the departure is confirmed once a minimum group of 3 participants has been reached.
Please note that the meeting point is at the start of the activity and that there will be no access to changing rooms, showers or lockers.
IMPORTANT: as soon as your booking is confirmed, please contact the guide as soon as possible to complete the activity participation form. The guide will also need to provide you with the exact location of the meeting point. You’ll receive the contact details in your booking confirmation email.
Accompanying guests who are not taking part in the activity will find other things to do in the area, including pet-friendly options.
There is free parking near the meeting point, but it is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
