Fancy swapping the urban rhythm for the sound of paddling through the waters of a protected reserve?
Set off to explore the Medes Islands archipelago aboard an eco-kayak on a 2. 5-hour guided adventure designed to take care of the planet. Forget the crowds, learn basic paddling techniques with expert guides and sail in double boats towards a fascinating natural environment. Feel the satisfaction of participating in a conscious activity focused on reducing your environmental footprint while contemplating the marine life around you.
What we will do
We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in L'Estartit, Girona, to start this sustainable adventure. After a welcome, the team will provide us with all the equipment. Before hitting the water, the guide will teach us on the shore the basics of swimming and paddling so that we can control the double kayak with complete ease and safety, ensuring that even the most novice paddlers feel like true professionals from the first paddle.
Once ready, we will glide into the sea and start paddling in the direction of the Medes Islands archipelago, located about 2 kilometres off the coast. This approximately 2-hour excursion stands out for its sustainable and respectful approach, using dynamics aimed at reducing the use of plastics and generating a real environmental awareness among participants. During the trip, we will be escorted at all times by our guide who will also tell us interesting facts about this wonderful environment.
When we reach the islands, we will look for a corner sheltered from the wind where we will stop for a swim. This will be the ideal moment to take a look at the fascinating seabed of the reserve, where we will see thick Posidonia meadows, barracudas, sea bass, gilthead bream, sea urchins and large groupers. After regaining our strength and refreshing ourselves, we will return to the boats to start our way back to the port of L'Estartit.
In total, with the preparations included, we will enjoy an experience of 2 hours and a half full of adventure, laughter and conscious disconnection in the sea.
Who it is aimed at
This experience is suitable for all levels.
The minimum age to participate is 6 years old and all minors must be accompanied by an adult in the same boat.
It is compulsory to know how to swim in order to enjoy swimming in the islands.
People with reduced mobility may participate, but must inform the organisers in advance in order to adapt the logistics of the transfer.
Pregnant women are not allowed to participate due to the paddling postures and the movements of the waves in the kayak.

The experience is available from April to October.
We will sail in shared groups of up to 30 people.
The meeting point area has a paid car park, although if you prefer, there is a free car park in the beach area located about 15 minutes' walk away . If you choose to arrive by public transport, bus stops will drop you off about 10 minutes walk from the boat.
Pets are prohibited on board and in the beach area due to nature reserve regulations.
The port facilities do not have changing rooms or enclosed showers, although there is a special area where you can comfortably wash off your clothes when you get off the boat.
All activities at sea are subject to weather conditions.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
