If Spielberg chose Cabo de Gata as the location for his adventure films, there must be a reason. That said, you won’t need Indiana Jones’s whip – just the motor of an electric bike to explore these cinematic settings.
On this route through Cabo de Gata, you’ll explore Almería’s wild coastline on a 4-hour trip that combines a fun bike ride with a 1-hour dip at a pristine beach. Get ready for a breath of sea air and plenty of fun as you pass through iconic spots such as the beaches of Mónsul and Genoveses without breaking a sweat.
What we will do
We’ll meet at the meeting point in San José, Almería, 15 minutes early. There, the team will welcome us, hand out our helmets and assign us our e-bikes. We’ll spend the first few minutes on a brief technical briefing to familiarise ourselves with the e-bikes, making sure everyone feels comfortable before we set off.
We’ll start our engines and head out onto the dirt tracks of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, cycling along paths through sand, agave and eucalyptus trees. Our first major reward will be the iconic Mónsul Beach and its famous volcanic formations. From there, we’ll effortlessly tackle a more challenging stretch before reaching the summit of the Vela Blanca viewpoint, where we’ll stop to take in the vastness of the cliffs.
After the descent, passing through unique spots such as Media Luna and Cala Carbón, we’ll head for Los Genoveses Beach. Here we’ll park our bikes to enjoy the highlight of the day: a full hour’s stop to go for a swim and relax. It’ll be the perfect time to cool off and rest.
With our energy replenished, we’ll set off on the return journey to complete a total route of around 23 km. To round off this fantastic adventure in style, we’ll say our goodbyes by celebrating the experience with a nice cold drink. All in all, we’ll share an unforgettable day lasting a total of 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The route is suitable for everyone, provided you know how to ride a bike.
The minimum age to take part is 12, and children must always be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The maximum weight limit for using the electric bike is 100 kg.
Other information
The activity runs almost all year round (except December and January) , with daily departures at 9. 30 am and 6. 00 pm.
This is a shared tour, which is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 10 per group.
Free parking is available in the area, but please bear in mind that access by public transport can be difficult, so it is not recommended.
You must provide your weight and height in advance so that the organisers can ensure your equipment is fully adjusted before you arrive.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
