If your idea of seeing marine life is looking at an aquarium in a waiting room, we’ve got a much better plan: go on a catamaran trip and spot dolphins in the wild off the coast of Gran Canaria.
Hop aboard a stunning catamaran in Puerto Rico and enjoy an exciting 2-hour shared cruise around the south-west of the island. Explore the waters off Mogán in search of dolphins, whales or flying fish, listen to the guide reveal the ocean’s secrets, and relax in the sun with a complimentary soft drink. A brilliant day out for the whole family, perfect for getting into holiday mode.
What we will do
Please arrive 45 minutes in advance at the meeting point in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. This time allowance is essential to ensure the whole group can board calmly and without any stress. Once on board this large catamaran, we’ll find the best spot on its spacious and comfortable decks to start enjoying the islands’ wonderful sunshine.
We’ll set sail towards the south-west of Gran Canaria, leaving the quay behind as we head out into the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean. During the first part of the trip, we’ll relax in the sea breeze whilst taking in the spectacular views of the Canarian coastline and the unique cliff-lined landscapes that characterise this beautiful side of the island.
We’ll set course for the Mogán area with the firm aim of spotting dolphins, whales, turtles or flying fish in their natural habitat. Whilst we scan the horizon for cetaceans, a guide will provide commentary on the details of the trip and we’ll hear fascinating information about the secrets of marine wildlife via the PA system in Spanish, English and German.
We’ll enjoy a complimentary soft drink or water from the on-board bar to keep us hydrated during the trip, and we’ll finally return to Puerto Base after a total of two hours at sea.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Children under the age of 3 participate free of charge.
The activity is suitable for people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility, provided they are accompanied and are able to get out of their wheelchair unaided so that they can board the boat safely.
Pets are permitted during the experience provided they are small animals and must travel inside their carrier.

The activity can be taken part in every day of the year.
The activity takes place in mixed groups with a minimum of 1 participant and a maximum of 233 people.
The meeting point has paid parking. If you prefer to use public transport, it is perfectly possible to travel by bus to the Puerto Rico area and then walk a short distance to the jetty.
It is important to be at the departure point (Puerto Base) at least 45 minutes before setting sail.
The activity is strictly subject to weather conditions.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
