Full description
Break out of your routine and get ready to slide, jump and abseil in the heart of the Sierra de Tramuntana.
In this intense experience lasting up to 6 hours, you’ll venture into the upper section of the Barranco Na Mora to conquer one of Mallorca’s most thrilling water canyons . You’ll take on the abyss by tackling rock slides, jumping into pools and tackling technical abseils on a shared route that’s perfect for beginners in good physical shape. Everything is carried out under the supervision of qualified local guides.
What we will do
We’ll meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Port de Sóller Nord, Mallorca. There , we’ll be joined by our qualified guide, who will welcome us and provide us with all the necessary equipment: a wetsuit, booties, a helmet and a full harness complete with a descender and anchor ropes. Once ready, we’ll set off on a 1 hour 20 minute approach walk towards the ravine, heading into the spectacular Bàlitx Valley.
Upon reaching the start of the upper section, we’ll feel the adrenaline rush as we take in the rugged landscape of the Sierra de Tramuntana. During the next 3 or 4 hours of water-based abseiling, nature will become our very own adventure park. We’ll slide down stone chutes and tackle the heights on technical abseils, guided at all times by our local instructor so we can enjoy the experience with complete peace of mind.
The Barranco Na Mora is famous for its pools of cold water that invite you to take the plunge. Although overcoming the obstacles along the route is essential to progress, you’ll always have the flexibility to choose between taking an exciting jump or descending via a classic abseil. We’ll learn to navigate karst formations and tackle simple climbing sections that will make us feel like true explorers of the island.
After completing half of the canyon, we’ll begin the return journey on foot, a walk of approximately 1½ hours back. We’ll round off these 6 hours of total adventure by returning to the meeting point, having conquered one of the most spectacular and sought-after descents in the entire Balearic Islands.
Who it is aimed at
The minimum age for participation is 14 ( minors must be accompanied by an adult and provide a signed consent form) .
This activity is suitable for beginners, but it is essential to be in good physical condition and to have at least basic swimming skills.
For safety reasons and due to technical equipment limitations, there are physical restrictions: the maximum weight allowed is 110 kg and the maximum height is 1. 90 metres (you must provide this information when booking) .
Not permitted for pregnant women (not covered by insurance)
If you have reduced mobility, you must check in advance to confirm participation is possible.
Other information
The activity runs from October to May, starting at 8. 00 am, and is confirmed subject to a minimum of 3 people.
Free parking is available at the meeting point.
We do not recommend travelling by public transport, but you can arrange a pick-up service at an extra cost if you do not have your own vehicle. Details on how to arrange this will be sent to you in your booking confirmation email.
As this is a wild natural environment, there are no changing rooms, showers or lockers for valuables (we advise you to arrive already wearing your swimwear) .
Pets are not allowed on this experience.
The canyon obstacles must be completed to progress, although you can always choose between jumping or abseiling.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
