Are you ready to swim through an underground river by the light of your headtorch and brave the depths of the cave?
At Cueva del Toro, in Alcudia de Veo, Castellón, a 4½-hour underwater caving adventure awaits you, featuring 2½ hours of pure underground exploration. Kitted out with a helmet and head torch, you’ll swim, dive and tackle short climbs along an underground river surrounded by impressive stalactites and stalagmites. A Level 1 route, ideal for beginners, led by qualified guides, which includes entry to the Montanejos thermal baths where you can relax .
What we will do
We’ll meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Alcudia de Veo, Castellón. There, we’ll meet our qualified guides, who will welcome us and provide us with the necessary technical equipment: a wetsuit, helmet and head torch, so we can venture underground in complete safety.
Once ready, we’ll set off on an approach walk through the natural surroundings to the impressive entrance to the Cueva del Toro. Once there, the instructors will give us technical training on how to move through the water, the use of lighting and the key safety aspects for the journey.
It’s time to dive into a real adventure! We’ll enter the cave to begin two and a half hours of pure underwater exploration in the cold waters of the underground river. We’ll make our way by the light of our headlamps , navigating around natural obstacles, swimming through flooded passages, and undertaking short dives and small climbs amongst incredible formations of stalactites and stalagmites.
After completing the underground route and emerging back into the open air, we’ll set off on the return journey to the meeting point. There, we’ll say goodbye to the team and collect our tickets to round off the day by relaxing in the thermal pools at Fuente de los Baños in Montanejos, bringing the total duration of the experience to four and a half hours, including preparations, the approach, training and the underwater exploration.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone; you don’t need any prior knowledge of caving.
The minimum age to take part is 10 years ( minors must always be accompanied by an adult) .
It is advisable to be able to swim.
This activity is not suitable for pregnant women or participants with reduced mobility.
The underground route includes narrow sections which may be uncomfortable or unsuitable for those suffering from claustrophobia.
Other information
Important: To obtain the compulsory access permit for the Cueva del Toro, you must provide the national identity card numbers of all participants. You must also contact the organisers in advance to confirm the exact location of the meeting point.
The experience is available all year round, with daily sessions in the morning (09: 30) and afternoon (16: 30) .
The tour is confirmed with a minimum of 3 people (maximum 8 participants per group) .
Free parking is available at the meeting point. We do not recommend travelling by public transport.
Pets are not permitted.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
