If you’re looking to break the monotony and discover Alicante’s best-kept underground secrets, this expedition is for you.
In the Serra de Segària, in Ondara, a three-hour adventure awaits, combining caving with a bit of canyoning. Kitted out with a harness, helmet and ropes, you’ll abseil down three vertical drops of up to 20 metres and explore underground passages teeming with stalactites and stalagmites. An easy-level route, ideal for beginners, led by qualified guides, and including a complimentary photo report.
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before the booked time at the meeting point in Ondara, Alicante. There, we’ll meet our qualified guides, who will welcome us and provide us with all the necessary technical equipment: a full-face helmet, a harness and a belay device, so we can set off on our adventure in complete safety.
Once ready, we’ll set off towards the Serra de Segària, heading for the entrance to the Cova Fosca. At the foot of the cave, the guides will give us a detailed technical and safety briefing to teach us how to handle the ropes and carabiners, and the guidelines for abseiling efficiently.
It’s time to venture into the depths of the mountain! We’ll begin our journey through Cova Fosca by tackling a first 15-metre abseil, which will take us into a fascinating underground world. Next, we’ll continue descending via a second 20-metre abseil between narrow walls, before tackling the third descent through a narrow, thrilling passage. Once at the bottom, we’ll explore its breathtaking chambers and galleries, marvelling at the stalactites and stalagmites sculpted by water.
After exploring the cave’s nooks and crannies and setting off on the way back to the surface, we’ll take off our gear and say goodbye to the others. This brings to a close an unforgettable caving and canyoning experience lasting a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone; no previous experience is required.
The minimum age to take part is 9 years (children under this age must always be accompanied by an adult) .
This activity is not suitable for pregnant women or participants with reduced mobility.
It is not recommended for people who suffer from vertigo or claustrophobia.
Other information
Important: You must arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance. A maximum of 5 minutes’ grace period will be allowed before the tour begins.
The activity takes place in small groups of up to 8 participants per group.
Parking is available at the meeting point.
Pets are not permitted.

- Sports shoes or hiking boots with good grip for uneven terrain
- Sportswear suitable for the season

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
