Conquer the summit and enjoy the views of the Strait of Gibraltar.
Enjoy the via ferrata of Casares, a progressive experience that combines initiation with technical sections of K3 level. You will ascend vertical walls and hanging bridges strategically located at the foot of the old town while you feel like you can touch the sky.
The panoramic view from the viewpoint of Casares Castle is, quite simply, another level.
What we will do
The guide will meet us at the meeting point in Casares, Malaga, about 15 minutes before the booking time. Once equipped, we will head to the base of the ferrata "La Plana" to begin the adventure. There we will equip ourselves with all the necessary technical material and we will make a comfortable approach on foot of about 10 or 15 minutes to the base of the wall, located at the foot of the old town.
We will start the activity with the first section (K2), a 98-metre long route ideal for beginners. We will ascend smoothly by means of clamps and side steps, overcoming two monkey bridges that will add fun and balance to the route. Once we have reached the top of its 53 metres, we return to the start to tackle the second section (K3) . This section, 91 metres long, will be more technical and demanding, with overhangs and side passes that will test our dexterity and make us feel the maximum verticality.
The adventure will culminate at the viewpoint next to Casares Castle, the highest point in the municipality, where we will enjoy a privileged panoramic view of the Strait of Gibraltar and Sierra Bermeja.
After a moment of contemplation, we will walk down the charming cobbled streets of this white village until we return to the starting point. The experience will last approximately 2 hours and a half.
Who it is aimed at
It is not necessary to have experience in via ferrata, but it is necessary to be an active person who practices sport regularly.
The activity can be done from the age of 16.
Minors can participate accompanied by a responsible adult or with the authorisation of a legal guardian.
It is necessary to have a minimum weight of 45 kg and a height of over 1. 40 metres.
People with vertigo and pregnant womenare advised not to participate.
The experience is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

The experience is available all year round and is confirmed when a minimum group of 2 people is reached.

This is a K3 level via ferrata.
Accompanying persons who do not participate with possible pets can go for a walk around the village.
Free parking is available at the meeting point. It is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
