Full description
Dare to try the most exciting canyoning in the Sierra Norte de Madrid.
Impressive waterfalls, natural slides and abseil descents await you in the canyon of Somosierra, in a spectacular mountain environment.
Guided by a professional and with a total duration of 3 hours and a half.
What we will do
We will meet 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Somosierra, very close to Madrid. There we will be met by our professional guide, who will provide us with all the necessary technical equipment: wetsuit, helmet, harness, booties and carabiners. He will also explain in detail the correct use of each item, answering any questions you may have.
After getting equipped, we will take an approximate 30-minute approach walk , enjoying open and spectacular views until we reach the start of the ravine, also known as Cascada de los Litueros (Litueros Waterfall). Before embarking on the adventure, we will receive the last safety instructions from the guide.
We will then begin the descent of the canyon, ideal for beginners in canyoning, overcoming jumps, fun natural slides and exciting abseils in waterfalls. The water, which flows all year round from the Peña Cebollera, has created unique and surprising shapes in the metamorphic rock.
We will finish at the base of the ravine from where we will walk back to the starting point.
The total duration of the activity is approximately 3 hours and a half.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for children aged 6 and over. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
It is not compulsory to know how to swim, but it is necessary to have good physical condition and mobility.
The activity is not suitable for pregnant women or people with heart or back problems.
Other information
The activity is available from March to November and is confirmed with a minimum of 6 people.
The organiser will send more information about the meeting point a few days before the activity.
It may be necessary to pay a tourist tax on the spot.
There are no changing rooms, it is recommended to arrive with suitable clothing and a swimming costume.
Personal belongings and a dry change of clothes can be stored in the vehicle.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
