Ideal for those looking for action, but also for those who just want to go with the flow.
A morning of pure nature, fun at your own pace and unforgettable landscapes. Are you up for it?
What we will do
The appointment will be at the meeting point in Bierge, 10 minutes before the booking time. The guide will meet us and we will organise the vehicles to facilitate both the access to the beginning of the canyon and the final return section.
In fact, we will drive up to the Pedrera car park. There we will be given our equipment and, ready with our rucksacks, we will start the 45-minute walk to the beginning of the canyon. It will be a spectacular walk, in an environment where we will be able to see vultures and unique rock formations.
The final part of the approach to the river is through the Faja de los Caracoles. We will finish equipping ourselves and... The adventure begins! La Peonera is a canyon divided into three sections: Fornazos, Playa de Tamara and El Puntillo. We will pass through narrow areas between limestone walls, swim through natural pools, cross semi-subterranean passages and discover hidden beaches with emerald waters.
During the descent we will find slides, rapids, small abseils and a series of optional jumps from different heights (up to 10 metres). The route adapts to the pace and level of the group, so we can decide what level of adrenaline we feel like.
We will finish the canyon walking along the Alcanadre river, crossing areas of riparian forest until we reach the initial meeting point.
The total duration of the activity will be approximately 5 hours, of which 3 and a half hours will be spent inside the canyon.
