Rock, water and adrenaline in its purest form.
Explore for 3.5 hours the Formiga canyon in the Natural Park of the Canyons of the Sierra de Guara. Jumps, slides, abseils next to waterfalls and turquoise pools await you in one of the most complete and fun canyoning descents in Huesca. Ideal for beginners or to enjoy a dynamic and vibrant experience.
You will spend 5 hours discovering a landscape sculpted by centuries of water and wind in the heart of Guara. Do you dare to follow the course of the water?
What we will do
The meeting point will be in Casba de Huesca. Our guide will be waiting for us there 10 minutes before the booking time to give us the necessary equipment for the activity.
We will get equipped and, once we are ready, we will start a spectacular approach route on foot, gradually entering the canyon. The first stretch will take us to the historic Cueva de las Polvorosas. From there, we will advance along a ledge equipped with a handrail that will allow us to enjoy unbeatable views of the canyon. Below our feet, we will begin to make out some of the sections that we will walk later on.
Access to the inside of the canyon is via an abseil: the more adventurous can descend 18 metres, but if you don't want to start off that deep, you can also choose an alternative of just 7 metres.
And from there the real fun begins. Jumps, slides, natural pools of turquoise water and landscapes that seem to be from another world await you. One of the most exciting moments will be the abseil next to a waterfall, where the water splashes and adds adrenaline to the descent.
After completing the route, we will reach a low area surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation . From there we will walk back to the starting point, enjoying the sun and the landscape while we dry off.
The total duration of the activity is approximately 5 hours, of which between 3 and 3 and a half hours will be spent inside the canyon.
Who it is aimed at
The activity does not require canyoning experience and is suitable for ages 7 to 65.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
It is necessary to know how to swim. If you do not know how to swim you will have to inform the guide.
The experience is not suitable for pregnant women, people with severe vertigo or motor disabilities. Other injuries or medical problems must be reported to the guide in advance. You will receive contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Other information
The activity is available from April to October and is confirmed if a minimum group of 3 people is reached.
Before the day of the activity you will need to provide the guide with the following information: name, age, weight, height and number of feet. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Please note that you will be in the middle of nature and there is no area to change or leave personal belongings.
It is not advisable to carry mobile phones or other electronic devices during the activity. The guide will take photos of the experience to share with all participants.
Accompanying persons not taking part in the activity can wait in one of the river's bathing areas.
Free parking is available at the meeting point . The area cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
