Enjoy a guided canyoning experience in the Estret de les Penyes, also known as the Bolulla Gorge. It’s a short, intense adventure, ideal for families or as an introductory activity.
Pools of crystal-clear water, jumps from the rocks and a thrilling final 20-metre abseil ( with an alternative route) .
What we will do
The guide will meet us about 15 minutes before the booked time at the meeting point in the Bolulla area, Alicante. Whilst we go round introducing ourselves, they will provide us with all the equipment needed for the activity: a wetsuit, an approved helmet and a canyoning harness.
From the meeting point, we’ll make our way to the start of the gorge. It’ll be a pleasant, fairly easy 30-minute walk along a path flanked by stone walls – the perfect setting to begin the technical briefing on how to use the equipment and the safety rules.
A final run-through of the key instructions by the entrance to the gorge, and then it’ll be time to venture into Estret de les Penyes! A short but very intense and fun water-filled gorge awaits us, characterised by a narrow passage of sculpted rock and fed by stunning springs of crystal-clear water.
The route is mostly horizontal and of low difficulty – perfect for a family day out or as a first taste of canyoning! Along the way, we’ll enjoy magnificent pools ideal for swimming and jumping into in complete safety.
The most vertical challenge for the more daring comes at the end with a 20-metre abseil down a waterfall. If you don’t feel up to it, you can give it a miss, but having come this far… Once we’ve completed this final descent, we’ll head out along an easy, straightforward path that will take us back to the cars.
The experience will last a total of around 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
No previous canyoning experience is required, and the descent is suitable for children aged 8 and over.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
This activity is not suitable for pregnant women or people with mobility impairments.

The activity is available all year round and is confirmed once a minimum group of 4 people has been reached .
Important!: Conditions in the gorge depend on rainfall, so it may be necessary to change the dates.
You will need to provide the organisers with each participant’s height and weight in advance. This information is required to ensure the correct allocation of wetsuits. You will receive the organisers’ contact details in your confirmation email.
Non-participating companions may wait in the area, where there are walking trails. Dogs are permitted on a lead.
During the experience, the instructor will take photos which they will send to you by email or WhatsApp.
There is free parkingin the area , but it is not possible to get there by public transport.
Recommended clothing
- Swimming trunks or tight-fitting sportswear (to be worn under the neoprene)
- Canyoning boots or mountaineering shoes

- Something light to nibble on such as fruit or a snack

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
