Do you like strong emotions? Then get ready, because what awaits you in the Estret de les Penyes, in Bolulla, is not just a simple walk through the water.
This narrow and wild canyon immerses you in a route full of jumps, abseils of up to 15 metres and steps between rock and water that will leave you enchanted. All in a unique natural environment, next to the impressive Algar springs.
This is the perfect activity to get you started in canyoning if you're in the mood for action. Do you know how to swim? Then you're ready to take the plunge.
What we will do
The meeting point is in the area of Bolulla, in Alicante. Once there, the technical material will be handed out and we will have a safety briefing of about 5 minutes.
Afterwards, we will walk for 5 to 10 minutes to the start of the canyon. On arrival, we will practice a first abseil to familiarise ourselves with the rope and learn how to descend with control.
Along the route, we will descend on foot and by rope, we will make several jumps (up to 5 metres), and we will move between narrow rock corridors, natural pools and areas of constant water. It is a fluid route, with no loopholes, that will keep us in action from start to finish.
The experience concludes with a final 18-metre abseil down a waterfall, the perfect end to an unforgettable day of water canyoning.
The total duration of the activity is 3 and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is designed for people aged 9 and over who can swim and are in good physical shape.
The weight limit to participate is 110 kg.
It is not suitable for pregnant women or people with mobility, cardiac or respiratory problems.
Other information
The experience is only available during certain periods of the year, as it is highly conditioned by the rainfall of each season. In the months when the canyon is open, the activity is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
It is essential to wear sports or mountain shoes, as any other type of footwear is not suitable for this activity.
Free parking is available near the meeting point.
