Sometimes, the best way to disconnect is to throw yourself into adventure.
Try the Carangas canyon, in the Ponga Natural Park in Asturias. Test yourself with a vibrant experience that combines optional jumps, natural slides and 10-metre abseils in an unspoilt natural environment.
Get ready to overcome the aquatic challenge.
What we will do
The guide will meet us at the meeting point in Carangas, Asturias, about 10 minutes before the booking time. Before setting off, we will have a brief introduction and we will equip ourselves with all the necessary equipment: full wetsuit, helmet and harness.
We will walk for about 15 minutes in the surroundings of the Natural Park of Ponga, declared Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2018, until the beginning of the ravine. There, we will complete the briefing with the last technical instructions, concentrating on the abseiling technique necessary for the descent, and we will be ready for the adventure!
During the tour we will face fun optional obstacles such as jumps of between 2 and 4 metres and natural slides that reach up to 5 metres. In addition, we will have to put ourselves to the test with abseils of up to 10 metres. Here there will be no escape, but the help of the guide will allow us to complete the challenge without any problems and with maximum satisfaction.
After approximately an hour and a half of pure adrenaline, we will discuss the best anecdotes of the day as we make the 15 minute return journey to the cars.
The whole experience will take about 3 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
It is not necessary to have experience in canyoning and you can participate from the age of 14.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult or have authorisation from a legal guardian.
It is advisable to know how to swim and it is essential not to be afraid of water.
It is not recommended for people with vertigo or fear of heights.
The experience is not suitable for pregnant women or people with any physical injury.
It is not accessible for people with motor disabilities.
It will be necessary to sign a declaration of medical conditions and inform the guide of any pathology that may interfere with the normal development of the experience.

Other information
The experience can be done all year round and is confirmed when a minimum group of 4 people is reached .
Important: in the summer months it might be necessary to change the Robó ravine for the upper section of the La Molina ravine, about 20 km away from Cangas de Onís and with the same characteristics.
The guide will carry a watertight bag with a first aid kit in which you will also be able to store essential medicines. The rest of your belongings will have to be left in the car. Please note that there are no showers or changing rooms available.
For those accompanying you who are not taking part, there are hiking areas around the canyon.
Free public parking is available in the vicinity of the meeting point . It is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
