Do you know which is the longest canyon in Spain?
That's right! It's the Mela canyon (also known as the Abdet canyon), where our canyoning experience takes place. Together with an expert mountain guide, you will enjoy sliding down natural slides and descending with a rope from 20 metres high.
A 4-hour experience to challenge nature and yourself!
What we will do
The meeting point is in l'Abdet, in the province of Alicante. The mountain guide who will accompany us on this adventure will be waiting for us there.
Once all the participants have gathered, the equipment will be handed over followed by an informative talk about the activity. The guide will provide us with all the information necessary for a carefree experience. Then we will walk to the place where the activity will take place, about 30 minutes on foot.
Once we arrive at the Barranco de la Mela, the real adventure begins! We enter the longest canyon in Spain: in the first part we will face 20 metres high rope descents, while in the second part we will slide down natural slides and jump into crystal clear pools. Each jump is optional and can be replaced by a rope descent or a walk.
At the end, we will return to the meeting point for a 20-minute walk. The total duration of the experience is approximately 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 10 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult participant or have a signed authorisation.
You must be able to swim in order to participate.
The experience is not suitable for pregnant women, people with vertigo, people with heart disease and people with mobility problems.

The experience is available from April to June and is confirmed when a minimum number of 4 participants is reached.
The duration of the experience may vary at the discretion of the guide, depending on the number and ability of participants.
There are no changing rooms or lockers for personal belongings.
Free parking is available. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
