Get away from it all as you paddle through gorges, under suspension bridges and through lush vegetation in A Coruña.
Paddle along the calm waters of the River Tambre in an authentic Canadian canoe on a 3- to 4-hour journey of pure tranquillity. Setting off from the historic Central do Tambre, you’ll travel through the river gorge, explore small islets and paddle to the iconic Ponte Nafonso. An ideal experience to share with family or friends (in 3- and 4-seater canoes), suitable for all ages and including a photo report.
What we will do
We’ll meet at the agreed time at the meeting point at the Central do Tambre, A Coruña. During the first part of the activity, we’ll put on our life jackets, be given a waterproof bag to store our belongings, and attend a brief briefing on how to use the paddle and the navigation guidelines.
We’ll board our Canadian canoes at the foot of the historic stone monument to begin our journey along the calm waters of the River Tambre. Along the route, we’ll admire the river canyon, pass under a striking suspension bridge and skirt stretches of woodland and reeds. We’ll take detours to explore small islets and tributaries, stopping for a snack and , if we wish, a fun dip in the water.
We’ll paddle on until we reach the historic Ponte Nafonso, an iconic medieval bridge, where we’ll turn around to head back to the starting point, completing a trip lasting between 3 and 4 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
Suitable for beginners, couples, groups of friends and families of all ages.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
People in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility are welcome (in the case of wheelchair users, they must be accompanied by other participants; if you have reduced mobility, please contact us in advance so we can confirm on a case-by-case basis whether the activity can be safely adapted) .
Pets are allowed on the route.

Important note regarding the timetable: The exact time may vary depending on the season or river conditions; it is essential to confirm the final timetable directly with the organisers once you have made your booking.
The canoe trip runs all year round.
The excursion is a shared tour with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 56 participants per group.
The meeting point has ample free parking. We do not recommend travelling by public transport.
If required, private transfers can be arranged by contacting the organisers in advance.
The boats used are traditional Canadian canoes with a capacity for 3 or 4 people.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
