Full description
Swap the usual tarmac roads for an off-road route that combines country lanes, charming villages and unique panoramic views of the Atlantic.
Fasten your safety goggles, put your foot down and feel the roar of an automatic buggy on this 3-hour journey starting from Yaiza. Guided by a local expert, you’ll cover 60 kilometres across volcanic dirt tracks and country lanes, passing through iconic spots such as Puerto Calero, Tías and Masdache, with key stops to recharge your batteries and take in the scenery.
The ultimate thrill on four wheels awaits you in Lanzarote
What we will do
We’ll meet at the specified time at the meeting point in Yaiza, Lanzarote. A professional guide will be waiting for us there to accompany us on our excursion. After the initial introductions, he will hand out dust-proof goggles and give us a detailed explanation of how to operate the automatic buggy and the safety rules for the route.
With the briefing complete and the engines running, we’ll set off on our journey of around 60 kilometres, comprising 60 per cent tarmac roads and 40 per cent dirt tracks. We’ll leave the base behind to explore the island’s contrasting landscapes, crossing rural tracks and side roads towards the coastal area of Puerto Calero.
We’ll travel in convoy, feeling the terrain beneath our tyres as we head into the heart of Lanzarote. We’ll wind our way through the towns of Tías, Güime and San Bartolomé, surrounded by volcanic landscapes and traditional villages that showcase the purest essence of the island’s scenery.
We’ll continue our journey, skirting the areas of Montaña Blanca, Masdache and the picturesque region of La Asomada. Along the route, we’ll make brief stops at key points to stretch our legs and take in the vastness of the rural surroundings and the views out to the ocean.
In the middle of the itinerary, we’ll make a main stop lasting around 20 to 25 minutes – the perfect opportunity to have a drink, use the toilet and share the best stories from the journey with the group. With our batteries recharged, we’ll take the wheel one last time to set off on the return journey along country tracks back to our starting point.
The activity will last a total of 3 hours.
