Let yourself be trapped by the magnetism of the Bay of Biscay.
Discover the coast of Gijón with this 45-minute boat trip. We will sail in front of the Cerro de Santa Catalina and the beach of San Lorenzo until we reach the Islotes de las Gemelas, where we will enjoy the most spectacular cliffs of the Asturian coast and, if the weather is good, a dip in the open sea.

What we will do
The meeting point is at the Gijón Marina about 15 minutes before the start of the activity. The team will meet us there to help us on board and, after a brief talk about safety rules, we will set off to discover the Cantabrian Sea.
We will set sail in a semi-rigid boat with comfortable central seats. We will sail next to the Poniente beach and go around the Cerro de Santa Catalina, from where you can admire the impressive sculpture Elogio del Horizonte (In Praise of the Horizon).
An audio guide will explain the area while we continue the tour in front of the emblematic San Lorenzo beach and the Vagones estuary, enjoying an unrivalled panoramic view of the city skyline and moments of thrilling speed on board the boat.
The trip will continue towards Peñarrubia beach until reaching the Tortuga islet and the Twin Islands. In this natural environment, we will make a stop so that you can take pictures of the cliffs or, if the conditions allow it and the skipper considers it safe, enjoy a refreshing dip in the Cantabrian waters.
We will return to the port with renewed energy after having explored the most iconic corners of Gijón from the sea.
The sailing lasts about 45 minutes and the total duration of the activity will be 1 hour.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for all ages.
The minimum age recommended is 2 years old.
Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. From the age of 14 they can participate with the authorisation of a legal guardian.
The boat is not accessible for people with motor disabilities.

The experience is available all year round and is confirmed when a minimum group of 5 people is reached.
The boat is a semi-rigid boat of 9 metres in length. It is equipped with central seating and a bathing ladder.
The activity is dog-friendly and dogs up to 5 kg can board.
For non-participating companions, services are available at the marina.
Only if conditions permit and the skipper deems it safe, it will be possible to take a dip.
In the vicinity of the meeting point there is public parking, both free and paid, but it is advisable to arrive in advance, especially in high season. The area can also be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
