You can't leave O Grove without tasting its seafood.
Climb aboard a catamaran and discover the world of the rafts with , an interesting one-hour guided tour with a steamed mussel tasting . This is an opportunity to discover the secrets of the Galician seafaring tradition from a new perspective thanks to the underwater view from the boat.
Let yourself be seduced by the flavour of the Ría de Arousa while "os aires do mar" (the sea airs) ruffle your hair.
What we will do
We will arrive at the meeting point in the port of O Grove, Pontevedra, about 30 minutes before the boat departs. There we will be met by the catamaran crew to welcome us on board.
While we cast off, we will listen to a brief explanation of the rules of safety and behaviour so that we can enjoy the sailing with complete peace of mind. We will set sail leaving the emblematic island of A Toxa to our right and we will head west, sailing through the waters of the Ría de Arousa with the silhouette of the island of Sálvora silhouetted on the horizon.
During the trip, the guide on board will reveal the secrets of the culture, history and local economy that make this place unique in the world. We will sail among the rafts where mussels, oysters and scallops grow and we will make a stop next to one of them to learn about the cultivation process. Thanks to the catamaran's underwater vision, we will observe how the ropes of more than 12 metres are submerged.
To round off the experience, as we head back to port, we will enjoy a tasting of freshly steamed mussels, accompanied by local wine, water or a soft drink. It will be the perfect moment to relax with the panoramic views of O Grove, Cambados, the island of Arousa. .. With a bit of luck, even a dolphin will show up.
We will return to port after sailing along the Ría de Arousa for approximately 1 hour and fifteen minutes.

The excursion is suitable for all ages.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The excursion is free for children up to 2 years old and does not include tasting.
The catamaran is wheelchair accessible.

The availability of the excursion changes according to the season. Check the calendar for available dates according to season.
The route is done on a motor catamaran with a covered area, terrace and underwater viewing area. It has a bathroom on board and capacity for 120 people, although it will be limited to a maximum of 90 to guarantee the comfort of the passengers. Depending on availability, the boat may be different to the one in the photos.
The route includes a tasting of fresh steamed mussels; accompanied with wine, water or soft drinks.
Explanations are usually given by a guide, although in some cases a recording may be used.
The boat is pet-friendly, but it is necessary to inform the organiser in advance of the presence of large dogs. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Free parking is available in the harbour. Important: it is necessary to arrive well in advance to find a parking space, especially in high season, on Sundays and Fridays (market) . It is also possible to arrive by public transport from Pontevedra (bus) .

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
