Full description
Why settle for just one corner of the dehesa when you can hop between the 'hotspots' of sightings at 50 km/h and effortlessly?
On this 9-hour private day trip you will cover dozens of kilometres along the Orellana and García Sola reservoirs in a fast boat equipped with a silent electric motor, maximising your chances of seeing wildlife without disturbing its environment, and with a traditional picnic on board.
What we will do
Your guide will meet you punctually at the meeting point in Extremadura to start a unique expedition. The exact starting point will be communicated to you before the experience, as it may vary depending on the weather conditions and the preferences or specific species you wish to see. After a brief introduction to the environment, you will board the fishing boat, a fast boat designed to navigate dozens of kilometres and reach the most interesting observation points in a short time.
During the route, you'll enjoy a fully customisable itinerary; whether you're looking for an intense adventure or a relaxed stroll, the guide will adapt to your wishes to make the experience unique. As the waters are in the public domain, you will legally enter the heart of large private estates that are difficult to access by land. Thanks to the use of a silent electric motor, you will get much closer to the shores than a land vehicle would allow, allowing you to see the animals in their purest state.
You will make strategic stops at exclusive viewpoints to use the professional telescopes and binoculars provided. You will learn fascinating facts about how forest and steppe species come down to drink on the banks, and how the rocky cliffs serve as refuges for large birds of prey. Halfway through the day, you will take a break of about an hour to enjoy a picnic with typical cold meats, local cheeses and fresh vegetables from km 0.
You will continue your search for those special sightings, such as the majestic flight of the black vulture or the stealth of the otter between the reservoir's bends, and after 9 hours of total immersion in the aquatic paradise of Orellana and García Sola, you will finish the adventure by returning to the starting point to say goodbye to your guide.
