Are you one of those who prefer to see the world from above?
Dare to try this via ferrata in Benalauría, a K2 level adventure ideal for beginners in the heart of the Serranía de Ronda. You will ascend a vertical canyon, cross monkey bridges and discover the immaculate heart of the Genal Valley.
Get ready to conquer the summit with this 2 and a half hour experience; the feeling of freedom at the top will stay with you for a long time.
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Benalauría, Málaga, about 15 minutes before the booking time. There we will equip ourselves with all the necessary technical material and we will go up by car with the guide to the start of the route.
We will make a short approach on foot for 500 metres between rocks until we reach the base of the wall, where we will receive a safety briefing to learn how to use the carabiners and clamps.
We will start the ascent through a route feeling the verticality from the first moment in this small canyon of the Serranía de Ronda. As we gain height on this 110 metre route with a 100 metre vertical drop, we will also gain confidence.
The highlight will come when we cross two monkey bridges, where we will advance on suspended cables, putting our balance to the test. Along the way, we will take advantage of the breaks to observe the Genal Valley and, if the sky is clear, we can even make out the silhouette of the Rock of Gibraltar and the Strait of Gibraltar in the distance.
After reaching the summit and enjoying the best views of the area, with a 360-degree panoramic view over the cork oak forests, we will start our descent. We will walk for about 20 minutes along the return path until we get back to the vehicles to end the adventure.
The total duration of the experience is approximately 2 hours and a half.
Who it is aimed at
It is not necessary to have experience in via ferrata and can be done from the age of 12.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult; from the age of 14 they can also present authorisation from a legal guardian.
It is necessary to have a minimum weight of 45 kg and a height of over 1. 40 metres.
People with vertigo and pregnant womenare advised not to participate.
The experience is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

The experience is available all year round and is confirmed when a minimum group of 2 people is reached.
Important: you must inform the guide in advance of the following information about each participant : height, weight, allergies or illnesses. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Accompanying persons who do not participate with possible pets can go for a walk in the village of Benalauría. If you have experience in hiking, you will also find some routes in the area.
Free parking is available at the meeting point. It is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
