Do you want to enjoy Cantabria in style?
Contemplate its nature "from above" with the via ferrata El Cáliz, a perfect experience for beginners in Ramales de la Victoria. During the route you will overcome a difference in height of 120 metres through K1 or K3 sections adapted to your level and enjoying a unique mountain environment.
The visual reward of the Pico San Vicente will leave you speechless.
What we will do
The guide will meet us punctually at the activity centre in Ramales de la Victoria, Cantabria. After signing the form and receiving a brief introduction, we will be equipped with all the necessary equipment for the adventure.
We will walk for 20 minutes until we reach the foot of the via ferrata El Cáliz, where we will complete the technical explanations. We will begin the ascent along a 300-metre long route, overcoming a 120-metre drop. We will start with simple sections and, as we gain confidence, we will find more vertical areas.
We will have the option of choosing between two routes (K1 or K3) depending on our skills and even cross a Tibetan bridge at the top to add excitement to the challenge, always with the Pico San Vicente as a backdrop.
After approximately one hour of vertical progression, we will start the return with a pleasant 20-minute walk through a holm oak forest until we return to the starting point.
The total duration of the experience is about 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
No experience is necessary; the ferrata is an initiation level K1 with a K3 variant.
It is open to participants from the age of 7 years old.
A maximum weight of 120 kg and a minimum weight of 40 kg is required.
Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied. From 13 years of age it is sufficient to present the signed authorisation of a legal guardian.
Not accessible for people with motor disabilities.
It is not recommended for people with vertigo or fear of heights, as the ferrata is simple but very vertical.
The experience is not recommended for pregnant women.
If you have any doubts about the suitability of the activity, consult your doctor.
Other information
The activity is available from Easter until 30 September and is confirmed when a minimum group of 4 people is reached.
Accompanying persons who do not participate can stay and walk around the village or accompany the group and watch the activity from below (the area is also accessible with pets) .
At the end of the activity, the guide will send you any photos or videos taken. You can also use a helmet with a GoPro mount if you want to bring your own camera.
There is free parking near the meeting point. You can also get to Ramales de la Victoria by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
