Have you finally made up your mind? Start laying the foundations to become the surfer you’ve always wanted to be!
Join this surf course in Castelldefels – the ideal way to get started in the sport, with four 2-hour sessions. You’ll learn the basics for riding the waves, perfect your paddling technique, and recognise and tackle different types of waves in a fantastic setting.
Nothing will be able to stop you now – you’ll be at one with the waves.
What we will do
We’ll meet at the Castelldefels surf school about 30 minutes before the first lesson starts. The instructor will be there to welcome us, hand out all the necessary equipment and give us a brief overview of the course.
Afterwards, we’ll head down to the beach together for a short warm-up session, learn the key movements on the sand and… into the water we go! It’ll be a highly practical course where we’ll spend almost 90 per cent of each lesson in the water. We’ll learn how to paddle with our arms and legs, recognise different types of waves and discover the best way to get onto the board.
All of this will enable us, lesson by lesson, to become fully independent on the board, both in and out of the sea.
The course consists of 4 sessions, each lasting a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
No experience is necessary, and children aged 6 and over can take part.
You must be able to swim.
If you are pregnant, please check with your doctor to ensure the activity is suitable for you.
If there are young children, we recommend speaking to the surf school to discuss the best time slot together. Similarly, you must notify the school in advance if any participants have a disability; in such cases, a private lesson may be recommended (at an additional cost) .

Other information
The activity is available all year round and each class is confirmed once a minimum of two students have signed up.
When booking, select the date on which you’d like to take your first lesson; you can then decide with the instructor when to take the remaining three sessions.
The surf school has changing rooms with toilets, showers and lockers.
Groups will be divided according to the participants’ ability levels.
Accompanying guests who are not taking part in the activity may attend the lesson without participating. Please note that during the summer, pets are not allowed on the beach.
Near the meeting point, free parking is available in winter, but spaces are subject to a charge during the high season; there is also paid parking within the harbour. Furthermore, it is possible to reach Castelldefels by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
