The best way to learn about bees is to put on your bee suit and go and see them!
Become a beekeeper for a day in Tiedra, Valladolid and get into a practical experience of about 2 hours where you will discover the secrets of the hive, visit a professional workshop and enjoy a delicious tasting of honeys.
A great fun plan, where curiosity will be the protagonist and the final prize will be very sweet.
What we will do
We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in the plot of land in Tiedra, Valladolid, where we will be welcomed with a smile to start this adventure among flowers and buzzing. We will start with a theoretical part in the "honey hut", a separate centre where we will see a very entertaining animated documentary that will help us to understand who is who in the hive.
Afterwards, we will enjoy a guided tour of the facilities to learn about the more "industrial" part and the packaging process. With the lesson learnt, it's time for action: we 'll put on our protective suits and gloves and drive in our vehicles to the apiary, located just 2 minutes away. Once there, the experience will be totally interactive; we will open some hives to try to see and comment on the most important elements, we can also take the honeycombs to take pictures and we will look for the drones, the workers and, with a bit of luck, the queen bee.
To finish, we will return to the plot to take off our equipment and taste different varieties of honey such as lavender, forest, rosemary or thousand flowers, as well as tasting the pollen. It will be the perfect ending to comment on the experience before saying goodbye after approximately 2 hours of pure beekeeping immersion.

The activity is suitable for people of all ages.
Children under 3 years old can participate free of charge. It is only necessary to inform the organisers of their presence.
Children are also accepted with the signed authorisation of their parents or guardians.
The experience is suitable for pregnant women.
People with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs can participate; it will be necessary to inform the organisers in advance in order to better organise access.
Not recommended for people allergic to bee stings.

The activity is available on weekends from mid-March to mid-October, weather permitting.
A minimum of 4 - 8 participants is confirmed.
Free parking is available at the meeting point. Arrival by public transport is not recommended due to the rural location.
Pets are welcome in the reception area, but are not allowed in the apiary for safety reasons.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
