Can you imagine going down to the bottom of the sea and having to come back up just when you were getting the hang of it?
While an ordinary baptism leaves you with honey on your lips after just 20 minutes underwater, this Discover Scuba Diving Premium experience in Tossa de Mar gives you a dive of up to 45 minutes, in an experience of 2 hours and a half in total.
Forget the rush because you'll dive with a personal instructor dedicated to you at the Platja de la Mar Menuda. You'll explore the fascinating underwater life of the Costa Brava at your own pace and receive an HD video of the adventure.
What we will do
We will arrive about 15 minutes before the start time at the dive centre in Tossa de Mar, Girona. There we will be welcomed and we will take the opportunity to register our initial details and store our belongings in the lockers. We will then attend a 20 minute theoretical explanation where the certified instructors will teach us how to use the autonomous equipment, breathing techniques and the key signals necessary to move under the sea with complete peace of mind.
Once the theory is clear, we'll put on our wetsuits and walk straight to the Platja de la Mar Menuda to enter the water progressively from the shore . This is where the real exclusivity of the premium experience begins, as we will glide into the sea alongside a dedicated instructor in a strict one-on-one format, who will guide our every move and record the dive in 4K video with a GoPro.
We will descend very gently to a maximum depth of 6 or 8 metres to fully immerse ourselves in the abundant marine life of the Costa Brava. For a spectacular 45 minutes (three times as long as a classic dive), we will swim unhurriedly and with total freedom of movement while the camera records the feat in high definition.
Upon surfacing, the adventure will add up twice, as if you want to do the PADI Open Water Diver course in the future, you'll have extra credit towards your official diving qualification. Finally, we will walk back to the centre to enjoy a refreshing shower and change clothes in the facilities, completing an exclusive experience of about 2 and a half hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
This premium experience is designed for beginners. No previous experience is required.
The minimum age for participation is set at 10 years old.
Minors require a signed authorisation from their parents or legal guardians before starting the activity.
It is essential to know how to swim.
Pregnant women are not allowed to participate for strict prevention and safety reasons.
The activity is not adapted for people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility problems.
Certain pathologies require an official medical certificate, so if you have a history of asthma, diabetes, heart disease or a perforated eardrum , you must present it before starting.
You must take into account the flight restriction that prevents you from taking a plane for 24 hours after the dive.
Other information
The official season is open from May to October with departures every day.
There are parking areas in the immediate vicinity with regulated street parking and a public car park located just 200 metres from the dive club.
It is entirely feasible to get there by public transport with a short 10 minute walk to the facilities.
The facilities have fully equipped changing rooms and showers for comfortable changing at the end of the dive.
Pets are not allowed in the centre or during the experience.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
