Forget the noise of the outside world and come and discover the fascinating marine reserve of the Costa Brava in the most exciting way possible.
Set course for the Montgrí Natural Park from L'Estartit and enjoy a shared experience of 3 hours in total to dive into the big blue. Learn the basics in a pleasant initial explanation, dive for 20 minutes with an instructor exclusively for you to a maximum depth of 10 metres and observe the amazing biodiversity of the reserve up close. A perfect plan to lose your fear, activate the adventure mode and take home your first scuba diving diploma.
What we will do
We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in L'Estartit, Girona, where the team will welcome us and start the engines of our adventure. After the introductions, we will equip ourselves with all the professional equipment necessary for the dive. With all the equipment ready, we will board the boat for a short and exciting 5 minute trip that will take us straight to the heart of the Montgrí Natural Park reserve.
On arrival at the anchoring point, the professionals will explain the essential notions and rules of underwater swimming in a dynamic briefing lasting about 20 minutes. As this is a maximum safety baptism, the dives are carried out in a totally personalised way, entering the water one by one with an exclusive instructor .While we wait for our turn on the boat, we can relax in the sun on the deck or put on our goggles to observe the fauna from the surface, sharing the excitement of the day with the rest of our companions.
When our time comes, we'll slide off the boat and dive to a maximum depth of 10 metres for about 20 minutes of pure underwater magic. We will swim over extensive Posidonia meadows and observe the spectacular local ecosystem, full of barracudas, sea bass, sea bream, sea urchins and large groupers that inhabit the reserve. At the end of the exploration, we will return to the boat to sail back to the port, where we will be able to de-salt and celebrate our progress with an official certificate of participation.
In total, we will enjoy an experience of approximately 3 hours full of adrenaline, nature and marine fascination on the Costa Brava.
Who it is aimed at
This experience is designed for beginners. No previous experience is required.
The minimum age to participate is 10 years old and it is compulsory for all minors to be accompanied by an adult.
It is essential to know how to swim.
People with reduced mobility can participate but must inform the organisers in advance in order to adapt the logistics of the transfer.
It is not permitted for pregnant women or people who have suffered a pneumothorax due to strict health prevention measures.
Certain pathologies require a medical certificate, so if you suffer from asthma, diabetes, heart problems or a perforated eardrum you must present it signed by a professional before taking part in the activity.
Other information
The experience is available from April to October.
The dive is done in shared groups with scheduled dives with a maximum of 6 participants diving per shift and space for 10 people (in different groups) .
The meeting point area has a paid car park, although if you prefer, there is a free car park in the beach area located about 15 minutes walk away . If you choose to arrive by public transport, bus stops will drop you off about 10 minutes walk from the boat.
Pets are not allowed on board and in the beach area due to nature reserve regulations.
It will be necessary to fill in a medical questionnaire that you will receive just after confirming your booking to validate your physical fitness.
Your companions can join the boat trip by paying a supplement of 20 euros to enjoy the boat trip and see you from the deck.
The port facilities do not have changing rooms or enclosed showers, although there is a special area where you can comfortably get off the boat.
All activities at sea are subject to weather conditions.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
