Have you ever dreamt of climbing a natural rock face and seeing the world from another perspective?
In this 3-hour adventure in the Sierra de Béjar, you will discover the secrets of climbing. It is an experience suitable for everyone, ideal for those who want to feel the adrenaline of climbing for the first time in complete safety. You will learn the basic techniques, from the handling of the material to the progression up the wall, while enjoying the breathtaking views of the Sistema Central. It is the perfect plan to conquer your first summit in a high mountain environment and with expert guides.
What we will do
We will meet 10 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in Valdesangil, in the heart of the Sierra de Béjar. There we will be met by the guides to welcome us and we will have a close look at all the equipment that we will be taught to master: from the perfect adjustment of the harness to how the climbing shoes become our best allies on the granite. After this first 30-minute briefing on safety measures, we will take a short 3-minute drive in our cars to the foot of the imposing wall.
Once in front of the granite, we will feel the magnitude of the 30 metres of height that awaits us. During 2 and a half hours of pure action, the theory will come alive under our fingers. We will be taught how to read the rock, looking for that invisible support that allows us to climb, while we discover what it is to "clip" a tape or how to progress on a climbing route. It doesn't matter if at first the terms sound like a strange language; we will learn this new vertical language in a fun and totally safe way, letting the adrenaline flow with every movement.
The crowning moment will come when, after reaching the top and enjoying the endless views of the region, we learn how to abseil independently. It is a sensation of freedom that is hard to explain and will put the finishing touch to the day. We will end these 3 hours of total adventure with the satisfaction of having conquered our first granite wall and with the basic knowledge to make the mountain our new playground.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is ideal for beginners and people with no previous experience who want to try climbing for the first time.
It is a suitable experience for children from 8 years old (accompanied by an adult) .
For safety reasons, it is not recommended for pregnant women or people with reduced mobility.
Other information
The experience is available from April to October (mornings and afternoons) and from November to March (mornings only) .
The activity takes place mainly in the Sierra de Béjar, although depending on the weather it can be moved to the Sierra de Francia or near Salamanca. Please contact the organisers to confirm the exact meeting point.
Free parking is available at the meeting point. The use of public transport is not recommended.
A minimum group size of 2 people and a maximum of 8 people is required .
Pets are not allowed.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
