Sometimes, to enjoy the most amazing beauty, it is necessary to hold your breath.
This first freediving experience in Puerto del Carmen starts on dry land and ends at a depth of several metres. In one morning you will learn to breathe, to compensate, to relax... and you will discover that diving without a tank is more natural (and addictive) than it seems. All with the security of being accompanied by a professional instructor.

What we will do
The appointment is at the meeting point in Puerto del Carmen. Our instructor will be waiting for us there 10 minutes before the booking time.
The experience will begin with a theory session of about 30 minutes, in which we will learn the basics of compensation, the effects of pressure on the body and how the lungs react underwater.
Once we have learnt all the theoretical concepts of free diving, we will be ready to move to the beach. We will equip ourselves with the necessary equipment and walk to Playa Chica, where we will do a series of breathing and relaxation exercises before entering the sea.
From the beach we will swim about 100 metres to the reference buoy , always accompanied by the instructor. The dive will be done progressively, with a maximum depth of between 8 and 10 metres.
We will be in the water for approximately an hour and a half, with time to practice, gain confidence and observe the surrounding marine fauna.
The total duration of the activity will be between 4 and 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity can be done from the age of 12 and no experience is necessary. It is perfect as a first contact with free diving.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult who can sign the documentation and authorisation for the activity.
A certificate of good health is required. The experience is not suitable for people with motor disabilities, cardiovascular, respiratory or neurological problems or who have undergone surgery in the last 12 months. It is also not possible to take part in the activity if you have an ongoing infection or illness, or if you are taking any medication that may affect your state of consciousness or performance. If you have any doubts about the suitability of the activity, it is advisable to consult a doctor beforehand and, in any case, inform the instructor.
Other information
The experience is available all year round and can be done individually or in groups of up to 4 people.
To do the activity you need to have diving insurance, which is not included in the price. If you need it, you can take out insurance valid for 3 days at the centre itself for 20 euros.
You will have to inform the instructor in advance of your foot size, weight and height. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
If you have your own equipment, you can also use it.
At the meeting point there are changing rooms with showers and lockers. The facilities also include a swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi.
Accompanying persons not taking part in the activity can wait in the Playa Chica area or access the facilities and use all the services for a fee of 15 euros/person.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
