Have you ever looked up at the sky and wondered how many secrets the stars hide?
Feel like a real astronomer for about 3 hours in this ideal experience to escape from routine. Sailing through the waters of the Vigo estuary, you'll enjoy a complete explanation from a Sea Starlight certified guide.
You'll learn about constellations and you can go one step further with the virtual reality activity "Between the sea and the stars". Embark on this adventure.
What we will do
The appointment will be 30 minutes before departure time at the Náutico de Vigo. Once on board the Orion catamaran, the skipper will give us a brief talk on safety rules and the Starlight guide will explain the activity.
The first 30 minutes will be dedicated to a virtual reality experience,"Between the sea and the stars", which we will do with the boat moored in the port.
Then, we will sail the waters of the Vigo estuary towards Barra beach, in front of which we will anchor to enjoy the sunset while tasting a tapa of mussels with a glass of wine. Soon we will be able to start observing the first stars: far from light pollution, we will be able to immerse ourselves in the beautiful world of the stars.
The Sea Starlight guide will show us how to interpret the celestial vault and explain the different points in the sky in detail. Before returning to the Náutico de Vigo, we can discover the connection between navigation and astronomy .
After an evening of 3 to 4 hours enjoying the stars and the Vigo estuary, we will be back at the port.

Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The catamaran is not accessible for people with reduced mobility.
Other information
The activity is available from September to May and is confirmed when a minimum group of 6 participants is reached.
Departure time may vary depending on the sunset. The organiser will send you full information in advance.
You will sail aboard the Orion, a 12.37 metre Lagoon catamaran equipped with 2 x 40 hp engines. Normally, it is sailed under motor power. On board you will find 4 double cabins, 4 bathrooms, full kitchen, lounge area with TV and speakers, solarium, fresh water shower and dinghy. Ideal for enjoying the sea in comfort.
The activity is pet-friendly, but it will be necessary to communicate in advance the presence of pets.
Paid parking is available in the Náutico de Vigo area.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
