Full description

Have you ever wondered what secrets the stars hide?

Escape from routine on a 2-hour adventure in Añover de Tajo, Toledo, designed to make you feel like a real astronomer as you explore the universe very close to Madrid. Accompanied by an expert, you will learn to read the sky and see the difference between planets and stars with the naked eye with clear and exciting explanations. It doesn't matter if you have never used a large aperture telescope before; you will discover galaxies and nebulae in the simplest and most fun way.

What we will do

We will meet 10 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in Añover de Tajo, very close to Aranjuez. There we will be met by our guide, an expert astronomer, who will welcome us and prepare us to make the most of the power of professional equipment in one of the best areas for stargazing near Madrid.

We will start with a naked eye tour of the constellations to learn how to orientate ourselves in the sky. We will learn to locate the North Star, we will learn the origin of the stars of the flag of the Community of Madrid and we will recognise the figures of the Zodiac while we learn to differentiate, once and for all, the stars from the planets. It will be a walk through the sky to understand the secrets hidden in the lights we see every night.

In the second part, we will go into action with a giant telescope with a 30 cm aperture, a large aperture telescope designed to see the sky as if we were in a real observatory. Taking it in turns, we will peer through the scope to observe the jewels of deep space: from the rings of Saturn or the craters of the Moon, to clusters of thousands of stars, bright nebulae of the Milky Way and even galaxies millions of light years away.

As we are a small group, we will be able to look through the telescope many times and ask all our questions to the guide, who will adapt the explanation so that both beginners and amateurs can enjoy it to the maximum. After about 2 hours of deep exploration , we will say goodbye under the stellar mantle with the feeling that the cosmos is now a little less unknown, but with our curiosity burning to continue discovering all the wonders hidden in the infinite.
