A 1- or 2-hour horse ride along the coastal paths of Son Xoriguer in Menorca

If simply gazing out over the waters of Menorca from a viewpoint is impressive, just imagine strolling along its coastal paths at a leisurely pace whilst the sea breeze blows right in your face.

Head to Son Xoriguer for a 1- or 2-hour horse ride through rural countryside and along paths with sea views. Accompanied by a qualified guide, you’ll ride past unique spots such as Cala Parajals, Sa Cova des Pardals and Son Vell —and even the Son Saura area on the longer route — adjusting the pace to suit your level of experience.

What we will do

We’ll meet 10 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in Son Xoriguer, Menorca. There, the team will welcome us and fit us with safety helmets. With the horses already prepared and saddled, we’ll receive a brief introductory explanation on how to handle the reins to build our confidence and set off straight away.

We’ll then mount up and set off, following in the footsteps of our qualified equestrian guide, who’ll accompany us on horseback throughout the journey, revealing the secrets of the surrounding area. We’ll leave the starting point behind and venture into a striking contrast of tree-lined country lanes and coastal paths that look out directly onto the blue Mediterranean. If we choose the 1-hour route, we’ll ride at a leisurely pace, discovering iconic spots such as Cala Parajals, the mysterious Sa Cova des Pardals and the Son Vell area. If we opt for the 2-hour route, we’ll extend the adventure by exploring a more extensive itinerary that reaches the Son Saura area , where the possibility of getting close to the beach will depend on the time of year and the group’s ability.

On our return to the centre, we’ll say goodbye to the guide and our four-legged companions after completing an experience lasting 1 or 2 hours in total, filled with fresh air, picture-postcard scenery and a genuine connection with the island.

Who it is aimed at

The route is easy and ideal as a first horse-riding excursion, suitable for both beginners and riders of all levels.

The 1-hour route is suitable for children aged 5 and over. For the 2-hour route, the minimum age is 13.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

To take part, you must weigh no more than 95 kg.

Pregnant women may take part at their own risk.

The activity is not accessible to wheelchair users.

Participants with reduced mobility should consult our team in advance.

Important: The exact times of the tours vary depending on daylight hours and seasonal temperatures, so once you have made your booking , you will need to contact the guide to arrange the final time.

The experience runs all year round and is confirmed with just one participant.

Free on-street parking is available on the same street. The meeting point is accessible by public transport.
