60-minute beginner's flight near Madrid

Warning: microlight flying can be addictive.

Dare to take flight with this 60-minute introductory experience from Villanueva del Pardillo. From the surroundings of the Guadarrama Regional Park, you will head north, flying over the most beautiful places in Madrid: from the Escorial Monastery and the Cross of the Fallen, to Navacerrada or La Pedriza.

All with a professional pilot at your side and the chance to take the controls, while the mountains unfold beneath your feet. Are you already flying with your mind?

What we will do

The appointment will be indicated in the booking at the Villanueva del Pardillo aerodrome, where you will be met by the pilot. He will explain how the experience will be carried out, the basic safety rules and the general operation of the ultralight aircraft.

The pilot will go over the main controls and tell you how to behave when the time comes to take the controls. In the meantime, you'll be able to settle into the cockpit and. .. with your seatbelt securely fastened , it's time to take off. You will listen carefully to all the explanations, which you will receive in detail like a real pilot in training.

The one hour flight will start over the Regional Park of Guadarrama and, from there, you will move northwards , flying over impressive places such as the Valmayor Reservoir, the Escorial Monastery, the Cross of the Fallen. .. Until you reach Navacerrada or La Pedriza.

With the aircraft stable in the sky over Madrid, your moment will come: you will take the controls and you will feel like a real pilot. So that you can relive the moment, the pilot will make a souvenir video while he supervises your manoeuvres.

On the way back, you'll fly over Hoyo de Manzanares, Torrelodones. .. Until you land back in Villanueva del Pardillo after an exciting flight of around 60 minutes. Before you say goodbye, you will still have a few minutes to comment on the adventure and take some souvenir photos.

The experience will last approximately 1 hour and a half.

Who it is aimed at

This is a first flight experience.

The minimum age to take the controls of the aircraft is 16 years old. Under this age, it is possible to do the experience only as a passenger. Please contact the pilot for more information about this possibility. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.

Minors need a signed permission from a legal guardian to participate.

The aircraft has a high wing, which makes boarding easier for people with motor disabilities.

Other information

The experience is available all year round, except in July and August (months when weather conditions make flying difficult; the best time to fly is in winter) .

Please note: the duration of the flight is approximate and may vary depending on weather and atmospheric conditions.

You will fly in a Sky Ranger two-seater microlight with dual controls and a completely transparent cockpit.

The experience includes a video souvenir that the pilot will record with your smartphone and that you can receive via message or email.

At the airfield there is a bar at the foot of the runway where you can wait for your companions. Pets are allowed on a leash.

Free parking is available at the airfield. The area is difficult to reach by public transport; the nearest bus stop is approximately 1 km away.
