Discover the Picos de Europa on a guided route that combines the thrill of a 4x4 with a snowshoeing excursion through phenomenal landscapes.
A 4-hour experience between mountain and fresh air, suitable for everyone.
What we will do
We will meet about 10 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point next to the Dolmen and the Chapel of Santa Cruz, in Cangas de Onís. There we will be met by the guide, who will explain how the day will unfold before getting into the off-road vehicle.
The exact location of the route is decided depending on the snow and weather conditions, as each day the mountain offers different scenery. We can move towards the Covadonga Lakes, the Vegabaño valley, the Ponga Natural Park or even the surroundings of Fuente Dé, always within the impressive setting of the Picos de Europa.
Once we arrive at the starting point, the guide will give us the snowshoes, poles and gaiters, and will show us how to put them on correctly before starting the hike. During the route, which lasts approximately one and a half hours, we will walk through snowy landscapes, forests and mountains that look like something out of a fairy tale.
Along the route we will make several stops to enjoy the surroundings and learn more about the fauna, flora and stories of these mountains. The guide will adapt to the pace of the group so that everyone can enjoy the tour without rushing, whether they are beginners or more experienced.
After completing the excursion, we will return by 4x4 to the meeting point in Cangas de Onís.
The activity has a total duration of about 4 hours, including travel, explanations and walking time.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 4 years of age.
Minors can participate accompanied by a responsible adult.
It is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users .
It is not recommended for pregnant women under 3 months old or for those with vertigo, as the route passes through areas with precipices.
Other information
The activity takes place from December to February.
There is free parking at the meeting point and it is also possible to arrive by bus.
Every 6-8 participants will have their own guide, and the organisers have up to 7 vehicles at their disposal (about 40 seats) .
Pets are welcome: those weighing less than 20 kg pay a supplement of €15, and larger pets travel in the back of the Land Rover, leashed for safety, and pay the price for a place (€35) .

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
