Full description
Discover the Aragonese Pyrenees like never before on a private 4x4 route through the Añisclo Canyon and Monte Perdido.
Climb up to the most spectacular viewpoints, gain more than 1, 000 metres of altitude in the middle of nature and let yourself be guided by experts who will tell you the secrets of its geology, history and fauna. From the top of one of the deepest canyons in Europe, you can even see the majestic bearded vulture.
An exclusive 4-hour experience in the heart of Ordesa National Park.
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in Escalona, Huesca. Your guide will be waiting for you there, who will accompany you throughout the experience and adapt the route to your pace and curiosity.
You will start the adventure on board of a 4x4 heading to the heart of the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido. As you ascend along mountain tracks and ancient pastoral paths, you will gain more than 1, 000 metres in altitude, crossing pine and beech forests, rocky slopes and valleys sculpted by time. Meanwhile, the guide will reveal the secrets of the place: how the canyon was formed, the species that inhabit it and the stories that this millenary landscape still preserves. It is like touring an open-air natural museum, but with the windows open to the Pyrenees.
Along the way you will stop at impressive viewpoints, where you can look out over the abyss of the Añisclo Canyon, recognised as one of the deepest canyons in Europe and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. There you will feel the immensity of nature in its purest state.
After the vehicle route, you will leave the car at an altitude of 1, 740 metres and continue with a guided walk, comfortable and practically flat, of about 5 kilometres each way. From there you will enjoy unforgettable panoramic views of the canyon and the peaks of Monte Perdido. If the day is fine, you will also be able to see the majestic bearded vulture, which has a wingspan of 3 metres. This bird is unique in the world for its incredible ability to feed on bones.
In total, you will experience 4 hours of nature, learning and beauty at every step: a private, quiet and deeply inspiring experience to discover the wild soul of the Aragonese Pyrenees.
